Christmas Party....

...my moms Christmas work party was last night and she took me as her guest...we had fun there was a really good dinner and a band...and there was also karaoke...we always like to watch people sing and every now and then I will get up there and do it too....my step dad was also there as the photographer and so part of the time we sat in that room and it was pretty funny watching people get their picture taken once they were drunk...lol...i am still trying to work on my room and i think I have the paint colors picked out....so once i do some more work on it I will start posting pictures.....Here are some pics from last night.....xoxo

My Room Redo...

...so I have decided to redo my room...when i was in high school I painted my walls a deep burnt orange and decorated it with a budah, middle eastern theme and it was great...but now I just feel this strong need for change...my room if full of too many memories...not all bad but i feel like I need something different a fresh start....so the other day I took everything off my walls and now I am going to prep them for paint...i am thinking about a baby blue....I want to do baby blue and dark chocolate brown...anyway i will keep posting updates on my room renovations....I am putting up a pic of my sweet little puppy....his name is Mac Dre and he is like my child...whenever I am stressed he always makes me smile....xoxo

Thansksgiving weekend was nice....

...We had my grandma and my aunt and uncle and their kids over....we had a ton of food and it was all really good....we did some fun food too like my mom made a Chinese salad instead of regular green salad and my aunt made cream cheese poppers with bacon around them...Me and my mom also decided to make name plates for everyone this year...we used apples to hold up the cards....I hope everyone had a nice day too....Me and my mom also went Christmas shopping the next day and it was nice....we felt really tired but we got a ton of shopping done...it felt good to get a lot of it out of the way...i still have to get a few things but I really want to be able to enjoy Christmas this year and not stress about buying last minute....i have been overly stressed lately...My mom said I need to start doing yoga or something...lol...I have tried before and I love doing it but I am out of shape right now so I'm sure I will have some trouble doing yoga well....That's all for today...xoxo

Happy Thanksgiving!!!....I know I have so much to be thankful for and its good to have a day where I can really think about it....We have been cooking and cleaning all morning and everything looks so good...i hope everyone has a great day with lots of good food...My mom decided to come shopping with me tomorrow....She said it helps get her in the Christmas mood....i agree so I'm excited to find some good presents...xoxo

Christmas Shopping...

...I still have to do a ton of Christmas shopping...i have been trying to be really good and make gifts this year...I like to make stuff like jewelry and scarfs so that people can actually use it....I still like to buy a few things though...I have been thinking I might be brave and go the day after thanksgiving...me and my mom went one year and we had more fun just watching all the people freak and fight over items in the store....We just mozied around and looked at things...we figured if there was something we were meant to get then it would be there when we walked by....some people looked like they were on super market sweep running through the isles....Anyway wish me luck if I go....xoxo

Having Faith

I have been having a rough time the past couple days and so this morning I watched Joel Osteen's sermon on TV...it always makes me feel better to listen to it....Today's was about how nothing in life is permanent...He talked about how if u have faith then things can change and get better...I just thought that was a good thing to tell yourself everyday cause otherwise it's easy to become discouraged....Anyway on a more unpleasant note...today I have to go to the salon and help decorate for Christmas...I don't really feel like going only because it's my only day off and I just wish we could do it on our down time during the week...Nobody really seems that into it but we all know it will be worse if we don't go....Anyway I'm just going to try to stay positive today...Hope everyone has a good Sunday...xoxo

First Blog

Hey everyone this is my very first blog....My mom and my aunt both have blogs and they were fun to read so I thought I would start one....So I'll start by telling a little about me...I'm 21 and I live in a small town in northern California....It's a typical small town and it rains a lot here....But overall i like the small town feel....I work at a salon called Cindy's Stying Center as a stylist and I really love what I do....I just love to make people feel good about themselves...I still live at home with my parents and my older brother....So that's a little background info on me....
